Discussion of Caculating the Maturity Ratio of Cotton Fibers by Image Processing Technique and MATLAB

本文提出采用MATLAB数字图像处理技术对棉纤维截面图像做处理,提取特征数据,计算成熟度比。将该方法计算的成熟度比与已知的成熟度比[1](用测试仪测试得出)作对比分析,结果表明该方法是可行的。

In this research, we used the software MATLAB and image processing technique to process these cross-sectional images of cotton fibers and extract the character indexes and compute the maturity ratio of cotton fibers accurately. Then we compared the result with the maturity ratio of cotton fibers which is confirmed and supplied by the literature. We got the conclusion that caculating the maturity ratio of cotton fibers by image processing technique and MATLAB is feasible.
