试论冯桂芬的“采西学”思想

Briefly on the Thought of Making Ese of Western Knowledge of Feng Gui-fen

冯桂芬是近代著名的思想家,"采西学"思想是他成就较大的部分。他对西学的认识突破了传统的"技"、"器"观念,上升到了学理阶段。他认为西学是"富强之术",因此积极倡导学习西学。更可贵的是,他提出了新的文化价值判定标准"善",值得后人借鉴。

Feng Gui-fen is the modem famous thinker. The thought of making use of western knowledge is the greater part of his achievements. He broke through the traditional idea of technique, and rose to scientific theory stage. He thought the western knowledge is the prosperous and powerful technique. So he initiated to study the western knowledge positively. Commendable, he proposed the new cultural value determination standard —— ＂valuable＂, which is worth using for reference to the posterity.
