An introduction is made to the application of a comprehensive gas control technique at the coal and gas outburst fully-mechanized coal face 14129 for tackling the gas outburst problems during the working of the face.The methods used include pre-drainage through cross-seam suction hole drilled from the floor,pre-drainage of gas from the seam being worked via upward holes drilled along the dip from the haulage and air-return ways and laying in advance of pipes at the air-return entry for effectively draining off the gas in the worked-out area.
