The Role of Government in the Development of Self-Help Organizations

自助组织的发展和价值已逐步得到社会的肯定,然而自助组织的生存和发展环境还不容乐观。在大力提倡和谐社会建设的今天,对于自助组织的发展,我国政府应该积极发挥引导和监管的作用,给予其生存和发展一定的政治资本、经济资本、人力资本和社会资本,同时加强监管。文章通过"真情互动联谊会"个案,从引导内容、模式、监管三个方面来阐述政府在自助组织发展中的角色定位,以期为政府在自助组织发展中的角色定位提供一些参考。

The value of self- help organizations （SHOs） are recognized gradually. However, the conditions of their live are not exciting. Today we are trying to construct harmonious society, so the government should play a role in promoting and monitoring SHOs development. That means the government must give some supports, while enhance monitoring ways. The article gives a case of SHOs in China and explains the administrative role of government and model selection, which may provide some reference to policy makers.
