当代文学作为一种独立的文学形态生成于对西方资产阶级道路的清理过程中。它的生成与定型实际上就是一个不断排除中间状态的过程。本文认为,这一过程的实现关键在于建国后作家身份及其功能的转换。作家身份变化的实质就是作家的"非西方化",它表现为作家身份的体制化、作家思想的规范化以及作家文化品格的去西方化。在作家身份的规约下,当代文学形态的丰富性、复杂性被逐一清理掉。

as an independent literary form, Contemporary Literature has generated and finalized in a process of excluding the capitalist road. The formation and maturity of contemporary literature is a process of continuously excluding the intermediate state. The key to achieving this process is the change of writers＇ identity and function. The change of writers ＇ identity is essentially non - westernization of these writers, expressed in the systemization of the writers ＇ identity, the regulation of their thoughts, as well as the de-westernization of their cultural character. Under the limitation on writers ＇ identity, the richness and complexity of contemporary literature has been cleared up.
