Beam Combination of Fiber Laser Array Based on Volume Grating

摘要 针对外腔谱组束和主振荡功率放大(MOPA)组束方案中存在的问题,基于体光栅极窄的波长选择性和角度选择性,提出了两种多阵元光纤激光组束方案。为克服外腔谱组束中阵元数目受衍射元件有限频谱范围的限制,提出了一种基于级联体光栅的谱组束方案,该方案可使组束阵元数目随光栅数目倍增;提出了一种基于重叠体光栅的MOPA组束方案,该方案通过重叠体光栅的双向复用提供光学反馈,使系统无需复杂的相位检测与控制就可实现各阵元光束的相位锁定。 Aiming the problems of external-cavity in spectral beam combination (SBC) and master oscillator- power amplifier (MOPA), two kinds of beam combination schemes for fiber laser array were presented based on the narrow wavelength and angular selectivity of volume grating. A new SBC scheme, which can avoid the limitation of the narrow spectral width of diffractive element on the array number, is developed based on cascaded gratings. The array number can be multiplied with the number of cascaded gratings. Moreover, a new MOPA scheme based on superposed volume gratings was developed. Optical feedback can be implemented by duplex multiplexing of the superposed volume gratings. All the beams in the scheme can be phases-locked with each other and no additional phase detecting and control were required anymore.
