British & American literature courses in perspective of quality-oriented education

英美文学课程作为英语专业必修课程,其跨学科研究的特性为高校人文素质教育提供了重要平台。通过梳理当前英美文学的教学现状,阐述了英美文学教学对大学生文化素质教育的促进作用,并对当前英美文学的课程设置和教学改革提出了一些建议。

＂British ＆ American Literature＂ courses, which play an important role in the quality-oriented education among all the university students, are compulsory for English majors. However, these courses have not been attached due importance. The paper introduces the situation of ＂British ＆ American Literature＂ teaching in China, illustrates the great effect of ＂British ＆ American Literature＂ courses on the cultivation of students＇ Character, and puts forward some feasible suggestions concerning course arrangement and teaching.
