The planning and construction of inter-provincial border projects for the treatment of Taihu Lake were introduced. The existing problems were analyzed. The corresponding countermeasures were summarized and evaluated. Based on the development of the society and economy in the river basin and the change of water treatment ideas, some suggestions were put forward: further researches on the planning and construction of inter-provincial border projects, the securities of water resources assets and financing modes of water resources projects, etc.
