With fast development of football all over the world, side full back plays a more and more important role in the match. He is required not only to complete defense task remarkably but also to attack powerfully. He should understand his main responsibilities and qualifications of both defense and attack. The characteristics of side full back such as his main responsibilities, the qualifications, catching opportunities for attack, choosing right position, using right skills and the skills of organizing well in an attack action were discussed in this paper.
