对于小样品来说,将峰值波长移出大气红外窗口是可行的;但对于中、大型军用平台来说,改变其峰值波长可能因为得不偿失而不具有工程上的可行性。红外隐身的实质问题之一是绝热控制和处理。当温差较大时,单一的红外涂料很难取得较好的绝热效果。
It is realizable for small samples to shift the peak wavelengths out of the atmospheric infrared windows. But for medium or large military platforms, it is not worth while changing their peak wavelength, so there is no or less feasibility in engineering. One of the most critical factors in infrared camouflage is the control or treatment of the thermal insulation. Infrared coatings alone are insufficient for better insulating effects when greater temperature difference between the target and background exists.
