In the paper, the domestic methanol production conditions are described and economic and technical feasibility of the methanol production with the surplus coke oven gas of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group is analyzed. The production technology for methanol production with the surplus coke oven gas of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group is mature and in comparison with the methanol production with other ram materials, it is characterized by low risk, high profit and conforms to the state industrial policy guide orientation. This has important significance for pollution reduction and economic benefit improvement.
