CO-OPERATIONS ON THE TRANSLATION OF HONGLOUMENG

《红楼梦》两个全译本的翻译除了译者与译者之间的直接合作外,还有作者、读者、学者以及红学专家的通力配合。合作翻译为翻译文学注入了活力,促进了中西文化的交流。

As a form of translation, the role of cooperation translation is irreplaceable. This paper attempts to analyze the cooperative forms of the translating of two full translations of Hongloumeng, and then to point out that apart from the direct cooperation between the translators, there are the invisible cooperation between the author and the translators, the cooperation between the translators and the scholars and the experts of Red Studies, the cooperation between the translators and the readers. Their meeting indicates the real beginning of the co-operative translation, which invigorates the translation literature and promotes the exchanges between Chinese and western cultures.
