Imagist Poet Pound and Chinese Culture

Chinese culture has great influence on the Imagist poet Pound, especially his imagistic writings. This essay, through his one- image poem “In a Station of the Petro” and his translation work “The River-Merchant＇ s Wife ： A Letter”, is aimed to shed some light on this influence and his understanding of Chinese culture.
