Gadamer's Philosophical Hermeneutics Approach to the Difficulties of Translating Chinese Classical Poetry

中国古诗有多个甚至几十个英译本的现象非常普遍,这种现象背后隐藏的深刻的哲学机理是什么?本文拟从伽达默尔哲学诠释学的理论原则出发探讨古诗复译的本质,指出前见、时间距离、视域融合及效果历史的诠释学的基本概念和原则从本质上解释了复译的原因及复译的必要性。

It is a common phenomenon that a Chinese Classical poem may have several or even tens of translated versions, but what is the deep philosophical mechanism behind retranslation phenomenon？ This thesis seeks to use Gadamcr＇ s Hcrmcncutic principles and theories to illustrate the nature of retranslafion of Chinese Classcial poetry, pointing out that such basic hcrmcncutic concepts and principles as prejudice, temporal distance, the fusion of the horizons, and effective history deeply explains from nature the reasons and the necessities for the retranslation of Chinese Classcial poetry.
