花果两用观赏桃新品种——满天红的选育

Selection and cultivation of a new peach variety Mantianhong both for ornamental and food

满天红是以2-7(白凤×红寿星)自交育成的花果两用、高抗南方根接线虫的观赏桃新品种。该品种重瓣花,花红色,花冠大、花径4.4cm、花瓣4～6轮,花瓣数22～26枚;节间短,节长1.8cm,满树红艳。果实可以食用,单果质量130g,风味甜,可溶性固形物含量12%;郑州地区果实7月中下旬成熟,4月初开花,花期持续18d;需冷量800h,可用于盆景、庭院、公园、观光果园、插花艺术。

Mantianhong is a new peach variety both for ornamental and food, it has high resistance to root-knot nematode （Meloidogyne incognita）. Mantianhong was developed from 2-7 （Baifeng×Hongshouxing）by self-crossing. Flowers are double, red in color; corolla large ,4.4 cm in flower diameter. The double flower has 4 to 6 rows of petals ,petal number is 22 to 26. Length of internodes is rather short , 1.8 cm long. The single fruit weight is about 130 g, sweet,soluble solid content 12%. Date of fruit maturity is in middle and late July in Zhenzhou area. Flowering begins in the early ten days of April and lasts 18 days. Chilling requirement 800 h. Mantianhong is an excellent ornament plants when it was used in pot, courtyard, park, orchard and vase.
