Prevalence of unilateral posterior crossbite among children with deciduous dentition in Xi'an

目的:了解西安市学龄前儿童乳牙列单侧后牙反的患病情况,为单侧后牙反的早期治疗提供依据.方法:对西安市三所幼儿园的1408名儿童进行口腔健康检查,对单侧后牙反的患病情况进行统计.结果:西安市儿童单侧后牙反的患病率为9.38%,31名(23.5%)单侧后牙反患者同时伴有前牙反的发生,吮指习惯是造成单侧后牙反的危险因素之一.结论:单侧后牙反是一种比较常见的错畸形,其发病同吮指习惯有相关性,须引起家长和医生的高度重视.

AIM ： To investigate the prevalence of unilateral posterior crossbite among children with deciduous dentition in Xi＇an, and provide evidence for early treatment of unilateral posterior crossbite. METHODS： 1408 children from three kindergartens received an oral health examination. The prevalence of unilateral posterior crossbite was analyzed by SPSS 12.0. RESULTS： Unilateral posterior crossbite was found in 132 participants （9.38%）, 31 participants were found to have unilateral posterior crossbite and incisor crossbite. Finger sucking was strongly associated with the occurrence of unilateral posterior crosshite. CONCLUSION： The prevalence of unilateral posterior crossbite in deciduous dentition is high, so parents and dentists should pay more attention to it.
