The paper introduces the main function and operation principle of the Ethernet controller CS8900A, and proposes a feasible project to solve the Ethernet problem, i.e. how to realize the Internetworking in embedded system based on the connection of CS8900A and C8051F005. The embedded Ethernet interface realized by this design needs less system resources, simpler hardware connection and low costs, thus having a bright prospect.
