摘要
使役在英汉两种语言中都很普遍,但中国学习者受母语语言文化负迁移的影响,往往倾向于使用"make+Object+Complement"这一分析型使役表达法,不像英语本族语人多选择综合型表达法,即词汇化使役动词。产生这一倾向的原因是多方面的,以往研究多集中在词汇、句法对比分析等语言层面。从文化角度进一步探究这一倾向产生的原因,并分析由于滥用"make+Object+Complement"结构导致的跨文化语用失误,旨在为英语教学提供一个新的视角,提高教师对学生跨文化语用能力培养的重视。
Causative is a common phenomenon in both English and Chinese language.Affected by the negative transfer of Chinese language and culture,Chinese learners tend to adopt the analytic causative expression "make + Object + Complement",while English native speakers usually employ the synthetic expression by the lexicalization of causative verbs.Different from previous studies,this essay explored the cultural origins of the tendency of Chinese learners and analyzed intercultural pragmatic failure due to the abuse of "make + Object + Complement" and intended to provide a new perspective of language teaching that the language learners' pragmatic competence should be taken into consideration.
