党的十七大把"继续解放思想"直接纳入大会的主题。首先,要科学解读"继续解放思想"的观点,深刻领悟其中的新意蕴或新要求;其次,要在明确实事求是是党的思想路线的本质的基础上,正确认识解放思想是"党的思想路线的本质要求";再次,要深刻领会解放思想是"发展中国特色社会主义的一大法宝",因为只有解放思想,才能为发展中国特色社会主义奠定前提和基础、提供根本政治保障、创造必要的社会环境和条件以及挖掘永不枯竭的力量源泉。
