The current more popular and recognized certification of raising quality management level for software enterpdses is CMM evaluation. Then what is the principle of CMM？ Is it accordant with process control principle of traditional hardware products？ Through the analysis of the corresponding relationship between five matudty levels of CMM and product statistical process control chart, this paper illustrates that the evaluation of five maturity levels of CMM on the software R＆D process is based on the principle of traditional hardware products quality control and according to the level it achieved to divide into different grades.
