Application GIS Technology on Water Supply Pipeline Network Management

通过对供水管网管理现况的分析,结合 GIS 技术在广州市自来水公司管网管理中的应用,提出利用 GIS 技术对供水管网进行实时、高效的管理,完成管理模式由经验型向科学型的转变,并将 GIS 系统与供水企业日常业务紧密联系起来,实现供水管网管理的标准化、科学化和合理化。

Based on the analysis of the present situation of the water supply pipeline network management and the prospect of applying the Geographic Information System （GIS） technology in Guangzhou Water Supply Company, this paper proposes to employ GIS to achieve a real-time and high-efficiency management in the water supply pipeline network, and thus transform the experiential manage mode into the scientific one. It is anticipated that the combination of GIS and the Company＇s daily business will make the pipeline network management more standard, scientific and rational.
