摘要
科学领域中任何一门学问都有自己的历史观、理论观。编辑出版学只有确定全面而完整的历史观,理论研究才能够科学地确定其逻辑起点。殷商甲骨卜辞是由编辑刻契版面、复制、收藏传播等不同的角色和程序共同参与创造的文化媒体,它在文化内容和版媒体形式上已完全属于编辑出版活动,称得上是中国编辑出版历史的源头。后来的缣帛写版、竹木刻版、刻石出版、印纸出版与现代化的电子出版、网络出版,同甲骨文版比较起来,可以说都是同质异构或异质异构的版媒介文化载体。
Like any other science, the science of editing and publishing cannot scientifically ascertain its theoretical basis unless it establishes a wholesomely complete view of history. In the Yin Dynasty, inscriptions on shells and animal bones were cultural media, which involved a complete process of editing, carving, duplicating, collecting and disseminating. Their production should be regarded in every sense as editing and publishing activity both in cultural contents and in form of media. So it can be considered as the beginning of Chinese history of edition and publication. The silk-copied edition, the bamboo-carved edition, the stone-carved edition, the paper-printed edition as well as modernistic electronic edition and the web edition, which have been developed in later days, can all be regarded as edition-medium media as variations of the edition of inscriptions on shells and animal bones.
