In the light of a comprehensisve review of the technical research and marketing of chemistry-free violet plate in FUJI FILM, AGFA companies etc. during recent years, it is concluded that in the following 3 - 5 years, even though chemistry-free violet plate is unfit for large-scale printing works on a big scale, but yet on account of superiority in environmental protection, and time limitation etc, it will develop rapidly. The author offers advice to the potential units involving in chemistry-free violet plate to make evaluation first, and then decision.
