Revisiting the occurrence of de(的) in multiple modifiers

以往某些研究对多项定语"的"的隐现规律的概括互相冲突,本文通过在名词短语中区分定位、定量、定类三类定语槽位,区分无标记结构和有标记结构,可以较好地说明多项定语"的"的隐现规律:1)三类定语槽位之间"的"的隐现互不影响;2)同一定语成分出现于不同位置时,处于无标记语序位置更易不带"的",处于有标记语序位置更易带"的"。

The occurrence of de(的)in multiple modifiers of Chinese noun phrases has been controversially described.This paper first divides the slots of the modifiers into three:position,quantification and classification,and then distinguishes between unmarked and marked constructions.It proposes that:1)The three slots are independent in respect of the occurrence of de ;2)A modifier in its unmarked slot is more likely to occur without de than that in its marked slot.
