The Essence of Iran Nuclear Issue

美国推动发起对伊朗的制裁没有取得实质收效,伊核问题处于僵持之中。伊核问题其实是美国和伊朗手中相互较量、相互施压的一张牌,伊核问题的持续紧张主要责任在布什政府。今后几个月,布什政府难以在伊核问题上做出战略调整,伊朗则力图以拖待变,等待下届美国政府上台后调整政策,缓和两国关系。

The sanctions initiated by the US on Iran have produced no concrete results,leaving the nuclear issue of Iran in a stalemate.As a matter of fact,the nuclear issue is a card in the hands of the US and Iran,with which the two contend and exert pressure on each other.In the months to come,the Bush administration is not likely to adjust its strategy on the issue,while Iran will take a 'wait and see' strategy,hoping that the next US government will adjust its policy and ease up its tensions with Iran.
