A comparison suggests that the bronze cauldrons unearthed from Bairin Left Banner of Chifeng City in Inner Mongolia and those from Qinglong County of Hebei are different from each other in relative date. The latter finds show themselves to be a little more advanced than the former in shape and function although both of them may have belonged to the Mongolian Khanate and Yuan Dynasty period. The former are a little earlier. They must have been cauldrons for wine making, a sort of constellation for making milk wine in the Mongolian Khanate and Yuan Dynasty period, and also the earliest distillaters among the wine making vessels discovered so far in China. Their revelation contributes to the further deep-going discussion on the technology of wine distillation.
