语言的结构和边界是一个互为依存的统一体。结构边界统一体的建立,是语言表达式结构组织的认知基础。语言表达式必须有界化,否则会导致表达式结构崩溃。在SVO语言中,所有句法结构都以S-V-O及其变体的简单或复合型式建构。遵守内部运作和相邻吸引规律的结构边界变动可通过结构系统自适应性恢复结构边界统一体的完整性,导致语言创新,反之结构就会解体,使表达式不可接受。结构边界原则是完型趋向律作用于语言识解的结果,是支撑语言表达式建构和释读的认知模式。

Linguistic structure and boundary are an interdependent unity.The establishment of structure-boundary unity is a cognitive basis for the organization of linguistic structures in linguistic expressions.A linguistic expression must be boundarized,or it will collapse.In an SVO language all syntactic structures are constructed in the simple or composite patterns of S-V-O or their variants.In a linguistic innovation,it is necessary for any structure-boundary movement or change to abide by the principles of local operation and adjacent attraction,so that the innovated structural system will be able to achieve structure-boundary integrality through self-adaption.Otherwise,the integrality of the whole structure will be destroyed and the expression will be rendered unacceptable.The structure-boundary principle is a result of the Law of Pragnanz operating in the construal of language,and is thus a cognitive mode in the construction and interpretation of linguistic expressions.
