In this paper the methods of synthesizing AB or ABA type block copolymer,graft copolymer and functional polymer such as redox active polymer,side chain liquid crystal polymer,conducting polymer,metal containing polymer via living ring opening metathesis polymerization are reviewed,and their specific synthetic routs are also described.
