Facing the threats of pirates and terrorists, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, the countries by the Malacca Strait, carries out a series of actions to defend the Strait. However, due to their limited power, the three countries ask for "burden sharing" from countries using the Strait. Considering the sensitive problems of sovereignty, these countries can only supply aids such as training, equipment and information. According to this situation, the security of the Malacca Strait should be defended jointly by nations along the Strait and those using the Strait. Only through close international cooperation will it be possible to efficiently attack pirates and terrorism, to maintain the security of the Malacca Strait and Southeast Asia.
