Adam Smith is a key figure in the Scottish Enlightenment and tied to the French and American Enlightenments, Smith＇s standing and influence were established early on. Today we also can find something new in Smith＇s works when we lost in the problems around us. The famous ＂Das Adam Smith Problem＂ put forward by the German Historical School, is still a subject of controversy. Though at the origin sense it is a problem about the irreconcilable difference between The Theory of Moral Sentiments and The Wealth of Nations, we can also find some inspiration when facing the problem of the relation of economy development and social morals.
