摘要
科林.麦卡洛的《荆棘鸟》体现了父权背景下的女性的生存困境,宗教文化背景下的爱的选择,和男女主人公之间的冲突而又共存的两性关系。本文认为文本突显了女性的生存意志的同时,充分展示了逻各斯中心主义的文化氛围;女性的客体地位依然没有改变,某种意义上荆棘鸟意象仍然是男性至上神话的证明。
The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough, reflects the living predicament of females in the patriarchal context, the choice of love in the religious and cultural context, as well as the contradictory but co-existent female-male relationship. This paper holds that the text foregrounds women's will of survival, while it fully deploys the cultural aura of logocentrism. Because women's status of objectivity is unchanged yet, in a sense, the imagery of Thorn Birds is still a proof of the myth of male superiority. Thus the writing forms a paradox of feminism and anti-feminism.
