论刘坤一的洋务外交思想

On Liu Kunyi 's Diplomatic Thoughts of Westernization Movement

刘坤一是晚清时期一个重要的地方官员,也是洋务运动后期一位重要的代表人物。历任江西巡抚、两广总督、两江总督兼南洋通商大臣,"坐镇东南,屹然为中国之重"。1901年,他与湖广总督张之洞联衔的"江楚会奏变法三折,"更成为晚清新政的基本方针。对于这样一个清末封建统治阶级中学习西法的主要代表人物之一,史学界的研究是明显不足的。本文试就刘坤一洋务外交思想的发展过程、洋务外交思想的特征做一简要论述。

Liu Kunyi was an important local official in the late Qing Dynasty, and an important representative in the later stage of Westernization Movement as well. He had successively held the posts of Jiangxi provincial governor, governor of Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces, governor of Jiangsu, Jiangxi and Anhui Provinces and the official governing the trade and business in South China ,＂Under his dominated, the southeast of China have had becoming one of the most important areas of Qing Dynasty＂. ＂Three Memorials from the Governors-general of Jiang and Chu Provinces to the Throne for Reform＂,that in 1901 initiated by Liu Kunyi and Zhang Zhidong who served as the governor of Hunan and Hubei, had becoming the fundamental policy of new polities advanced in the late Qing Dynasty. The research in historical sience field about Liu Kunyi, one of the representative of feudal govern-class who studied western rules in the late Qing Dynasty, is obviously not enough. This article attempts to analyze the development and characteristics of Liu Kunyi＇s diplomatic thoughts of Westernization Movement.
