Preliminary design model of crane＇s drum shaft is made by using SolidWorks software. Based on the COSMOSWorks, element analysis for crane＇s drum shaft is carried out to reveal the stress distribution in structure of drum shaft and safety factor and actualize the optimal design of drum shaft.
