摘要
在实证分析中,越来越多的研究者借助于统计显著性检验来判别某种效应的存在与否,但某种效应在统计上具有显著性并不完全等同于其真的具有实际重要性。本文首先界定统计显著性和实际显著性的概念,然后分析实践中两者可能出现的六种组合情况,并从理论上探讨两者存在差异的原因,最后提醒研究者在科学研究中要对两者给予同等的关注。
In empirical analysis, more and more researchers apply statistics examination to determined the existence of certain effect, yet in statistics this effect doesnt mean that it has actual significance. This paper defines two notions firstly: statistical significance and practical significance. Then it analyses six possible combinations of the two notions and discusses the reasons for the difference of them. At last it reminds users of giving them the same attention in science research.
