多元系统理论视域下的林纾翻译

On Lin Shu's Translations from the Perspective of Polysystem Theory

林纾在近代文学领域和翻译领域占有重要地位,学界对林纾的译作历来褒贬不一,众说纷纭,以色列学者埃文-佐哈尔提出的多元系统理论为从目标语文化角度、接受者角度、译者动机角度等方面来解读林纾及其翻译提供了新的视角。

Lin Shu has taken an important role in the fields of modern literature and translation. Disputes on Lin Shu＇s translations have existed all through the years. The polysystem theory put forward by Even-Zohar provides us a new perspective to reconsider Lin Shu＇s translation. Based on this theory, this paper attempts to interpret Lin Shu and Lin Shu＇s translation in light of the target culture, target readers and translator＇s motivation, etc.
