新时期以来,经过不少新格律诗人的共同努力,在中国诗坛上逐步形成了又一个新格律诗派——雅园诗派。这个诗派在格律理论建设上取得了引人注目的成绩。在"雅园诗会"共识的基础上,诗派成员分别提出了泛格律诗观、严格律诗观与格律准格律相结合的诗观,显示了多元与包容的特点。它们相辅相成,和而不同,都为新格律诗理论的建设作出了一定贡献。

Of late, a new school of new metrical poets emerged in the Chinese poetic landscape through the joint effort of many new metrical ＇poets and has made remarkable achievements in theoretical building. Some of its members call for broad metrical forms, some insist on strict forms, and some prefer the combina- tion of metrical forms with quasi-metrical forms, based on the consensus of＂ Yayuan Association of Poets＂.
