英汉翻译中的文化错位及其对策

Cultural Disposition in English-Chinese Translation and the Approaches

在中西方文化逐渐融合的21世纪,翻译成了不可或缺的媒介和手段,但在翻译的过程中,文化的错位给语言信息的转换造成了很大的障碍。文章从不同民族在观念文化、知识文化、词语文化以及对同一事物的联想等方面的差异,探讨中西文化错位对英汉翻译的影响,并提出应对文化错位的翻译策略。

In the 21st century, the Eastern culture and the Western culture are going to integrate with each other, in which translation plays an important role. However, the disposition of the different cultural phenomena brings about many difficulties during the translation process. This article discusses the effects of cultural differences in translation from several aspects such as connotation, knowledge, words and connections, and finally proposes some approaches to deal with those problems.
