Application of the Schema Theory in Listening Comprehension

听力教学在整个英语教学中占有重要地位,听力理解涉及语言知识和非语言知识,教师在强调学生获得语言知识的同时,应该注重学生对非语言知识的掌握,适当提供给学生相关背景知识以及合理激活学生大脑中所存储的知识模块,以便学生更有效地获取口头信息。文章介绍了图式的概念,以实例阐述了在听力理解过程中如何正确利用图式理论建立相应的有效策略,并总结出图式听力理论对听力教学的一些启示。

Listening comprehension is very important in English teaching and it involves in both language knowledge and non -lan guage knowledge. While indicating that students must acquire the language knowledge, teachers should pay attention to the non- language knowledge that students must acquire, which includes certain background knowledge and knowledge mold, so that students can obtain useful information more availably. This paper introduces the schema theory briefly, discusses the effect of the schema theory in listening comprehension with examples and gives some ideas about application of the schema theory in listening comprehension.
