摘要
针对明清时期出现的为数不少的《西厢记》反意改创之作,指出理学思潮猖獗是此类剧作产生的最主要的思想文化根源,维护世道风化、消弥《西厢记》的影响是此类剧作创作的根本出发点,以反对"诲淫"为名对《西厢记》的情节和人物作符合封建礼法要求的改造是此类剧作的惯用手法。《西厢记》的反意改创之作由于思想陈腐、说教多于艺术创造,因此它们不仅无掩《西厢记》的光芒,反而使人们对这部戏剧经典产生更大的热情。
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were many rewritten versions of The Romance of the Western Chamber. As regards the cultural reasons, such rewritings can be considered as the result of the flourishing of the School of Reason. Most of these rewritings intend to safeguard the dominant morals and minimize the influence of the original work, attacking it in the name of pornography and rewriting its plot and characters in accordance with the feudal governance. Owing to their outdated ideas and excess of pedagogy, the rewritten versions not only cast no shadow to the original work but instead help to add more enthusiasm to it.
