At the turn of the century, there has emerged a group of novels theming in the Cultural Revolution, with Wang Xiaoho, Yah Lianke and Wang Meng as the best representatives. Research shows that they share the same narrating mode where the Revolution is integrated with sex. Such a mode makes a mockery of, and thus deconstructs the revolutionary discourse during the Revolution. The comic hue in these novels overshadows the political poetics at that time, Meanwhile, it reveals that the novelists are defected by their catering to the literary tastes nowadays.
