1973年来的35年里，中国环保人在体制不健全、资金不充足的不利条件下白手起家、奋发进取、尽职尽责，避免了工业化国家在其发展过程中曾大量涌现的诸如伦敦烟雾、水俣病和博帕尔毒气泄漏等生态灾难和公害事件在中国的出现。
During the 35 years since 1973, the Chinese staffs in environmental system have been building up from nothing. fighting bravely and do their best abilities under the situation of unsound system, in-abundant fund, which prevented many ecological disasters and social effects of pollution such as London Srnog Episode, Minamata Disease and Bhopal Chemical Accident from happening in China.
