The Western Absurdist Fiction and Its Influence on Chinese Novels in New Period

西方现当代作品对中国新时期新潮小说的影响涵盖主题思想和艺术形式两个方面。就艺术形式而言,西方的荒诞派小说,开始成为文学革命和反思文学史的重要借鉴。寻找其间的相似点是必要的,但应该看到其创造性的贡献。先锋派文学中的荒诞写作技巧是一个自主的、创造性的发挥,先锋派作家群体适应了中国作家反思历史、挑战主流话语的内在需求,实现了西方现代和后现代艺术思潮在中国本土的创造性转化。先锋派的先锋精神在于对自由的追求,已经成为当代文学持久的原动力。

Contemporary Western literary works had their influence on the New Trend novels of the New Period in two ways： thematic thoughts and artistic forms. With regard to artistic forms, the Absurdist Fiction became the main source of modeling, inspiration and influence. To make clear the similarities between the two sides are necessary though more significance lies in the initiative contribution of the Vanguardists to the Current Chinese Literature. Their absurdist techniques have been developed actively and creatively. This loose school of writers adapted themselves to the historical trend of reflection and challenged the main stream of discourse. They localized the artistic thoughts of modern and postmodern Western literature and realized the creative transformation. The valuable spirit of the Vanguardist Trend is the pursuit of freedom which has become an integrated part of the impulsion of Chinese literature.
