摘要
以无水硫酸镁、氨水和月桂酸钠作为原材料,在醇水体系中一步合成了表面改性的疏水性纳米Mg(OH)_2粉体。FT-IR分析表明,月桂酸钠以化学键合的方式在Mg(OH)_2表面形成化学吸附;润温性测试表明,添加月桂酸钠前后Mg(OH)_2对水的接触角由9.1*增大到109.8*;SEM和TEM分析表明,所得Mg(OH)_2颗粒平均大小为30~100 nm。该工艺具有流程短、设备简单、操作条件温和、成本低等特点。同时将制备的Mg(OH)_2应用到聚丙烯体系中,测定了该体系的阻燃性能和机械力学性能。
Surface modified magnesium hydroxide particles were synthesized by one-step process using magnesium sulfate, ammonia liquor and sodium laurate as raw materials in alcohol-water system according to the spectra of FTIR, it was inferred that sodium laurate was bound on the surface of Mg(OH)2 particles and an organic coating layer also formed. The water contact angles of modified surface increased from 9.1° to 109.8°. The wetting result indicated that the surface of modified Mg(OH)2 was changed from hydrophilicity to hydrophobicity. The SEM and TEM showed that the mean particles size was 30 - 100 nm. The paper also discussed the effect of different dosages of sodium laurate agent on the modification results. The flame retardancy and mechanical properties were measured while Mg (OH)2 was added into PP.
