The Ancient Egypt of Herodotus' Record

埃及地处非洲大陆东北角,狭长的尼罗河流域孕育了人类历史上最古老的文明——神秘而辉煌的尼罗河文明。但在公元7世纪阿拉伯人入侵后,古老的埃及文明被伊斯兰文明所取代,今天的埃及与古代埃及的风貌已经迥然不同,在《圣经》和古典作家的著作中则保留了有关埃及的最早一些记录。其中被称为"历史之父"的古典作家希罗多德在他的《历史》一书的第二卷中详细介绍了他到埃及的所见所闻。本文从古代埃及的历史、宗教、风俗、文化等几个方面,总结归纳希罗多德所述,并参照其他相关著述指出其中部分失实之处。

Egypt is located in the northeast comer of continent of Africa, It is Pregnant with the oldest civilization in the history of mankind in narrow and long basin of Nile—— Mysterious and brilliant Nile civilization. But after Arabics invaded in the seventh century, the old Egyptian civilization was replaced by the Islamic civilization, Egyptian of today and ancient Egyptian style and features have been already far different, the Bible and books of classical writer have kept some records initially about Egypt. The ＂ father of history ＂Herodutus has introduced the ancient Egyptian situation in detail in volume two of his book history. This text is from several respects such as the history, religion, custom, culture of ancient Egypt, etc. in order to summarize the view of Herodutus and point out some unfounded place among them according to other relevant writing.
