Fate （necessity） is a crucial theme in ancient Greek tragedies. This paper is meant to explain Prometheus＇ speech about technique, which appears in the second scene （436-525） in Aeschylus＇ Prometheus Bound, and tries to probe into the appearance and significance of the relationship between technique and necessity, so as to reveal the political and religious meaning of ancient Greek tragedies.
