摘要
《生命之水》系印度19世纪现代文学开端时期的乌尔都语文学著作,融语言史、文学史和传记文学为一体,叙事客观真实,传记色彩浓郁。朴素的纪实手法与优美的文学性是这部作品的两大特点,它开启印度现代乌尔都语传记文学先河,给乌尔都语文坛吹来了一阵清新的风。
Water of Life is a pioneering Urdu work linguistic history, literary history and life writing, this of 19th century modem Indian literature. Combining book demonstrates objective truth in narration and possesses rich biographical elements. Simplicity of narrative method and gracefulness of literary style are two characteristics of the work. Water of Life initiated the modem Urdu biographical literature of India and brought a fresh air into Urdu literature.
