Based on the sentence pattern of ＂比＂ in Chinese. from the perspective of discourse function, the paper explores the features of comparative expressions in Chinese as well as English, stressing the functional consistency in Chinese comparative expressions. And attempts to set up an ideal structural model of discourse information in Chinese comparative expressions.
