Clean Development Mechanism and Development of Chinese Hydropower

清洁发展机制(CDM)作为一项基于发达国家温室气体减排义务之上的发达国家与发展中国家的合作机制,蕴藏着巨大的商机,目前已在国际上得到广泛应用。在简要介绍CDM的基本内容及其在中国的开展现状的基础上,分析了中国水电项目参与CDM的潜力、面临的机遇和挑战,提出了水电积极开发CDM项目的有关建议,以期能充分利用CDM机制为中国水电更好更快的发展起到一定的促进作用。

Clean Development Mechanism（CDM）is a co-operation scheme based on the GHG reduction commitments of developed countries and developing countries, has been very popular in some countries. It has a great developmental potential and opportunity. A brief introduction of CDM concept and its currently applications in China are introduced in this paper. And this paper also analyzes the potentials, opportunities and challenges that the hydropower of China should develop CDM projects. Finally, this paper puts forwards relevant suggestions of implementing CDM in a hydropower project, which can be a reference for making the best use of CDM and developing hydropower CDM projects in China.
