摘要
许多教科书、研究论著都认为,广东和福建是早期香港华人的主要流出地。本文主要根据早期港英政府人口统计资料等历史文献,证明只有广东是早期香港华人的主要流出地,福建在当时只占微不足道的地位。而在广东省内,广州府是最主要的早期香港华人流出地。此外,本文还附带简要讨论了早期香港华人移民的其他问题。
The main stream of books, researches and publications advocate the argument that Guangdong and Fujian are the two main sources of the Chinese population migrating into Hong Kong early under British colony. Based on Hong Kong colonial government＇s census and other historical records, this paper argues that Guangdong is the only main source of immigrants to Hong Kong in early British colony, and the most of migrants from Guangdong are from Guangzhou prefecture. Besides some other related Chinese Migrants problems are discussed in the paper.
