摘要
经过"五四"新文化运动和西方新思潮洗礼的林语堂,在新编历史剧《子见南子》和用英文编撰的《孔子的智慧》中,通过对孔子言行及孔子思想的伦理审评,消解了被汉宋儒家神圣化了的孔子形象,让孔子形象向人性化回归,把他还原成具有再接再厉的可贵精神、顺乎人性的道德修养和近乎人情的、集智慧和喜怒哀乐于一身的活生生的"真人"形象。
Lin Yutang, through the baptism of the "May 4th" New Culture Movement and the new Western ideas, has eliminated the sacred image of Confucius deified by the Confucian scholars of the Han and Song Dynasties and turned Confucius into a real person of wisdom and emotion who understands the joys and sorrows of human being in his new historical drama Confucius Saw Nancy and the wisdom of Confucius compiled in English and through the ethics review of the words and deeds of Confucius and his thinking.
